Clean Bathroom = High Trust

Okay, this might seem like a really weird subject but I promise there’s a valuable lesson. Most boutique group fitness programs mainly work with women.

And the #1 way to scare off female clients is to have a dirty bathroom. 🚽🤮

The bathroom is your first interview and ongoing interview into how you run your business. It must be surgically clean at all times. I find that Coaches and Gym Owners are super OCD about the gym space. The dumbbells need to be in the right order and everything has a specific place. Anything out of order can trigger you.

But that doesn’t exist for the bathroom?

I will help you make more money right now….apply that same level of OCD to your facility bathrooms. Make sure it smells good and add a nice touch with common things ladies need on the run – hair ties, deodorant, tampons, lotion, etc.

I guarantee the ladies pay more attention to the bathroom than to your gym space.

Also, it says something about how you run your business. Here’s the lesson…

How you do anything is how you do everything.

Many people judge a business on their bathrooms. Heck I know that if a restaurant has a dirty bathroom, I worry about the cleanliness of their kitchen.

Well, if a gym has a dirty bathroom and we apply “how you do anything is how you do everything” then it might make me worry about the cleanliness of the gym equipment or will my card get double drafted or does the business owner have awareness around what is going on around them or are they checked out on details.

Take pride in your bathrooms and you will have more trust from your trial clients and convert more of them into members. There’s no way to measure this but I’m telling you it plays a big role in your first impression and ongoing impression with your clients.
